Okay, you know what? I’m not even going to attempt one of the crazy “z-words”. Instead, I am grateful to everyone, who accompanied me this month and read my articles for each letter of the alphabet. Maybe I’ll do it again in the fall, with the season being my theme? Stay tuned to find out. Thank you so much for your visits to my blog, for your likes, comments and general interest in the topics I write about. Please take care and be well until our paths cross again, hopefully in the near future.

A-Z Challenge: YouTube
Sometimes I wish, someone would control my online time every day. The internet and all of those cool websites, or apps are like rabbit holes: time flies while you’re having fun. I was quite active on WordPress lately, as well as Canva [because I am “learning”]. But YouTube takes the cake, honestly.
Some people are so quick to judge, but truth be told, YouTube taught me quite a few things already. I’m not just watching craft videos, no. There are awesome tutorials about cooking and baking, how to make minor repairs around the apartment, you can find interesting documentaries, among other watch-worthy content. So, while I really should keep an eye on my daily screen time, I’m also trying to learn something new. And that is positive, don’t you think?
A-Z Challenge: X-Rays
We’ve all had x-rays taken a time or twenty-five. Almost eight years ago I had my last x-rays taken, because I had to have surgery on my left wrist for the second time. I hate that scar, because people who don’t know me always wonder whether or not I tried to slice my wrist open on purpose [definitely not, instead I broke it due to a slip and fall on black ice back in Wisconsin]. Therapists flat out ask – well they have to, I guess. In any event, it is not a preferred conversation starter.
Eccentric Dingbat?
As of late, I truly enjoy conversations with my neighbor lady about spirituality. We seem to be equally open-minded, have similar experiences and thoughts about this fascinating topic. Now don’t get me wrong. I’m not the type of person, to run out and buy/read every book on the subject or watch every YouTube video known to mankind. I have, if at all, very limited knowledge about it, really. My own experiences kind of “shove me into that direction” now and again. My friend Jamie always told me, that I am blessed with the gift. She thinks that I should find someone who will work with me on developing it further. To be honest, while I’m intrigued by the thought of it on one hand, there’s also a sense of caution, with regard to the direction in which this may take me, on the other.
Overall, it is truly disappointing, that you still have to be very mindful in this day and age, with whom you talk about spirituality. Because at least in my extended family, or other people in my mom’s social circle will be all too happy to label you as “cuckoo” or as an “eccentric dingbat, who lost all touch with reality”, if you dare to bring up this topic. Luckily, my neighbor lady tells me time and again, how stimulating and interesting she thinks our conversations are. And I wholeheartedly agree with her.
A-Z Challenge: Wealth
βRiches, prestige, everything can be lost. But the happiness in your own heart can only be dimmed; it will always be there, as long as you live, to make you happy again.β

A-Z Challenge: Vacation

Do you remember me being all bonkers last year around this time, because my mom “had the audacity to force-vacation me”, on a cruise ship no less? And what do you know? It turned out to be – minor crises and challenges inclusive – an amazing experience over all. Well, we’re doing it again next month. For the last time, so it will be my top priority to make it a very special trip for my mom. This time, I am excited up to no Sunday, because I have a good idea of how it is going to be. Yay, vacation!! π«βπ³
A-Z Challenge: Upbeat
A few of the topics I have addressed this month, with my own version of the A-Z Challenge, awakened some unpleasant memories. Clearly, it was my choice to write about my past, and I don’t regret having done so. It is a form of therapy, even after all this time. And let’s be honest about one thing, you are here and reading my posts because you choose to, not because I am twisting your arm. Am I wrong? Today it’s drab and cold outside, quite fitting to how I feel. The best way to tackle that negativity is with some upbeat music…
A-Z Challenge: Tidiness
“You are just too lazy to look for things!”
How many times was I told exactly that? I stopped counting, honestly. But that statement is correct. Why should I spend my time looking for things, when instead, I can return them to their designated place once I’m done using them? I do have to wonder why people always make this a topic of conversation with me. Why is it then? Are you a chaotic person, always in search for the things you need? Is it an ounce of jealousy perhaps, because I make a conscious choice, not to have this problem?
In all seriousness, however, tidiness is known to improve happiness, productivity, peace of mind and over all well being. So, if you can come up with one good reason, as to why I shouldn’t continue on with being too lazy to search for every tired boring thing, let’s have it. Good luck to you on finding one π
A-Z Challenge: Spider
Do you know the nightmare, too, that has you waking up in the middle of the night and once you turn on the light you see a spider right above your face? Eww. Bah. No, please no!
We’ve had this just the other day, I know. Outside, I am in their environment and I have to come to terms with them being there. But, if they invade my space it’s on! Yea, buddy. That gets the party going right quick. You best beware of flying objects across the room and furniture being moved, if necessary, until the creepy crawling creature has been successfully eliminated. Even if it’s 3 o’clock in the morning, makes no difference either. I won’t stop until that beast is flat like a stamp and no longer moving in any way, shape or form. Yes, they equally have the right to exist – just not in my apartment. And if they dare me, they will pay with their lives. Okay, subject squashed and dead π
A-Z Challenge: Rainbow
In such frightening and challenging times we need hope πππ
