Funny Indeed!

Oh these silly quizzes, I tell you! And here is yet another one: the first three words type of quiz. Do you want to know what I found? Better still. Do you want to know how long it took for me to find three dang words? Boah! Usually I find them right quick. But today…. [crickets chirping] ….it took a L.O.N.G. frigging time. The three words I finally found are [drum roll, please] Love, Happiness and Positive Change (the latter counts as one, I guess). My reaction?
Love: I lost my belief in love quite some time ago.
Happiness: Very likely, because being happy is my choice, every single day anew.
Positive [Change]: Call me clueless. I guess I’ll have to stick around to find out.

It’s been a good laugh. And on a sad day like today, that’s really important.

With Liveliness And Charm

Daily writing prompt
Describe one habit that brings you joy.

Lilly is my greatest joy, hands down. Our daily activities, include 3 to 4 walks, sweet cuddles on the couch, grooming [she’s getting used to it slowly], as well as hide and seek or gleefully chasing after her toys being thrown across the room. Lilly’s charm and liveliness add pleasure and humor to the much disliked, but necessary “hamster wheel”. Ever since she made her way into my heart and home on June 12th of this year, there’s been a great improvement in my mood, and I am thankful beyond words for having this sweet. little whirlwind in my life.

Well Deserved!?

Daily writing prompt
How would you describe yourself to someone?

I got into the [bad?] habit of introducing myself to others by naming a few of my negative traits to let them know, what to expect. Most often the response I get is either “come on, you exaggerate a bit” or “don’t cut yourself down like that, surely it’s not so bad”. Oh? You know better, do you? Okay, good! Then you “receive” what you deserve – live and in colour – while getting to know me and everything, I tried to warn you about. [Later on they complain, that dealing with me is exhausting and complicated]. Well, sometimes it pays off to listen, don’t you think?

Settling Down – Miranda Lambert

For tonight’s musical snack, I’m sharing my favorite song by Miranda Lambert. I absolutely luv, luv, luv this song – and video – for more than just one reason. I hope, you will enjoy it as well…

Miranda Lambert is one of my true favorite country singers. Not only does she have a lovely voice and writes beautiful songs that resonate with me, she also loves animals and founded her own none profit organization, called MuttNation to help promote and educate people about shelter animals. What’s not to love?? Have a good night ๐ŸŒ™โœจ

What’s The Task?

Daily writing prompt
What do you listen to while you work?

Give me a project or task to be done, and I will select the music. My song choices also depend upon the mood I am in at the time. Generally speaking, if I do housework like cleaning, cooking, organizing, ironing clothes, etc. or I’m in the basement to work on a craft project, I’ll listen to everything from country music and smooth jazz to EDM and classic rock.
To be honest, I only get specific about what I’m listening to when I have to concentrate on the task at hand. That’s the case, for example, when I write a statement or letter and have to mind my word choices, but also to make sure that the finished document is well structured and easily understandable for a stranger. Then I usually choose instrumental EDM, because the lyrics to a song are too much of a distraction and my focus shifts towards fighting the urge to sing along.
Most important, no matter what the task may be, is that the songs are perky to keep my energy levels high and help me get the job done.
