I got into the [bad?] habit of introducing myself to others by naming a few of my negative traits to let them know, what to expect. Most often the response I get is either “come on, you exaggerate a bit” or “don’t cut yourself down like that, surely it’s not so bad”. Oh? You know better, do you? Okay, good! Then you “receive” what you deserve – live and in colour – while getting to know me and everything, I tried to warn you about. [Later on they complain, that dealing with me is exhausting and complicated]. Well, sometimes it pays off to listen, don’t you think?
If someone tells you what is bad about them then there are couple things you take away from that. First, you can’t complain later. Second, they are honest, and they actually know what’s bad about themselves.
